Youth should take inspiration from Supriya and move forward towards their goals: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai honored Supriya of Mungeli, who secured the fourth rank all India in the CDS examination, at his office in the Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan on Wednesday February 18, 2026.

He presented Supriya and her family with a bouquet of flowers, congratulated and wished them, and offered them sweets.


Chief Minister Sai said that Supriya’s success sends the message that if the goal is clear and the efforts are sincere, even a youth from an ordinary background can achieve extraordinary accomplishments. He said that Supriya’s discipline, hard work, and dedication to national service are an inspiration for the youth of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the youth of the state should take inspiration from Supriya and strive towards achieving their goals. Mungeli Collector Kundan Kumar was also present on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that 23-year-old Supriya Singh Shrinet , a resident of Tedhadhoura village in the district, has made Mungeli district and the state proud at the national level by securing the fourth rank all India in the CDS examination. Based on her talent, discipline, and unwavering commitment to serving the nation, she has been selected as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. The Chief Minister congratulated her on this prestigious achievement.

From Ordinary Background to Extraordinary Achievement

Supriya Singh Shrinet, a resident of Tedhadhoura village, comes from a farming family. Her mother, Santoshi Singh Shrinet, and father, Mr. Vaidehi Sharan Singh, a farmer by profession, always provided her with a strong foundation of education and values.

Raised in a loving and disciplined family environment, Supriya received her primary education from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School. She scored 71 percent in Class 10 and 58 percent in Class 12. She subsequently earned a B.Tech (Electronics and Telecommunications) degree. While studying engineering, she joined the NCC and, through her leadership skills, rose to the rank of Junior Under Officer.

NCC training strengthened her sense of discipline, courage, and patriotism. This is where her resolve to become an officer in the Indian Army began to take shape.

The Result of Determination and Unrelenting Hard Work

After completing her engineering in 2023, Supriya began preparing for the CDS exam with full concentration. Through hard work, regular practice, and self-confidence, she excelled in the SSB interview conducted under the Short Service Commission, securing the All India Rank 4.

Her achievement is not just a personal success, but an inspiring story that opens doors to new possibilities for the daughters of rural areas.

Along with her academic and military achievements, Supriya has also been active in cultural activities. Dance is her primary interest, which provides energy and confidence to her personality. Supriya Singh Shrinet’s success is a matter of pride not only for Mungeli but for the entire state.
