Violence and unrest continue in Iran amid the economic crisis. Reports of clashes between protesters and security forces are also emerging, with several people reportedly killed. In this context, US President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Iran.

Amidst an economic crisis in Iran, the public has taken to the streets. Violent protests are erupting in the capital Tehran and several other cities across the country. Voices of dissent against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are growing louder. People are protesting vehemently against the continuous decline in the value of the national currency, soaring inflation, and unemployment. Reports of clashes between security forces and protesters have emerged, with several people reportedly killed. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has issued a warning regarding the unrest in Iran.

Amidst the violence, Donald Trump’s warning:
Donald Trump said on Friday (January 2) that the United States is fully prepared to retaliate if Iranian authorities use violence against peaceful protesters. In a post on social media, Trump wrote, “If Iran shoots and brutally kills peaceful protesters, which they are known to do, the United States will come to their aid. We are fully prepared.”

Seven people have died so far amid the ongoing protests.
The protests in Iran have so far resulted in the deaths of seven people. The demonstrations, which began in the capital Tehran, have spread to other cities and even rural areas. Protesters have blocked several roads, and thousands of people have taken to the streets. The protests began with shopkeepers in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar and gradually transformed into a nationwide movement.
