“End of Hidma’s Reign of Terror, Spring of Peace Returns to Bastar” — Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday November 18, 2025 hailed the security forces for a major breakthrough along the Chhattisgarh–Andhra Pradesh border, where a successful counter-insurgency operation led to the neutralisation of top Naxal leader and Central Committee member Madvi Hidma, along with six other Naxal operatives. The Chief Minister saluted what he described as the “indomitable courage” of security personnel and called the development a “decisive achievement in the fight against Naxalism.”
Chiaf Minister Vishnu Deo Sai wrote on his social media platform X – That Hidma’s terror has ended, the spring of peace is returning to Bastar.
Chief Minister Sai reiterated that the neutralisation of Madvi Hidma, long regarded as the face of bloodshed, violence, and fear in Bastar, marks not only a tactical victory but a significant blow to the Red terror. He emphasized that this moment strengthens the government’s commitment to restoring lasting peace across the region.
The Chief Minister noted that the past several months have seen a surge in surrenders, arrests of senior Naxal cadres, and a series of successful operations—indicators, he said, that Naxalism is now taking its final breaths.
Shri Sai affirmed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the Chhattisgarh government has ushered in a new phase of peace, trust, and development in Bastar. He highlighted initiatives such as Niyad Nella Naar, the rehabilitation policy for Naxal cadres, and the establishment of new security camps, which have strengthened public confidence and infused renewed hope across remote villages.
Expressing optimism about the broader national strategy, Chief Minister Sai said he is confident that with continued Center–State coordination, India will be completely free of Naxalism by March 2026.
