Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai meets Nitin Gadkari, discusses progress of national highway projects in the state

New Delhi/ Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his official residence on July 31, 2025 early evening . On this occasion, the two leaders discussed in detail the construction of national highways in Chhattisgarh, progress of road projects and future infrastructure plans.
The Chief Minister informed Gadkari about the major road projects going on in the state and said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to complete the construction works in “stipulated time” . He said that efforts are being made to connect the remote and tribal areas of the state with the main roads at a fast pace, so that the people there can also get better connectivity and economic opportunities.

It was also discussed in the meeting that strengthening the road network in industrial areas, new districts is necessary for the overall development of the state. The Chief Minister emphasised that roads are not just a means of travel, but are the foundation of employment, investment and social change.
Appreciating the priorities of the Chhattisgarh government, Union Minister Gadkari assured that the Central Government will continue to provide all possible support to the state. He said that providing roads to tribal areas will not only accelerate development but will also bring permanent change in those areas.
The Chief Minister also apprised Anjor of the state’s long-term strategy under “Vision 2047”, which aims to develop an integrated and environment-friendly transport system. He informed that the Chhattisgarh government is giving priority to road connectivity in rural and border areas, so that development can reach every citizen.
