Trump Airspace Violation: An F-16 fighter jet in the US on Saturday (July 06, 2025) intercepted a civilian aircraft as it entered the no-fly zone over President Donald Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey.
The area was temporarily closed to flights as President Trump is holidaying there. US defense agency NORAD said they immediately dispatched an F-16 jet, which escorted the plane out of safety. NORAD said there was no threat from the plane and everything went peacefully. For the safety of the President, when he is out somewhere, that area is closed to flights for some time.
F-16 sent to intercept intruding aircraft
According to officials, an F-16 fighter jet was dispatched to intercept the intruding aircraft. It made a special headbutt move to get the attention of the civilian aircraft. That is, flying fast right in front of the plane, which alerted the pilot. After this, he was safely taken out of the restricted area.
Such cases increased in recent weeks
NORAD has said that this is one of many such incidents in recent weeks. They have appealed to the pilots to get information about all flight restrictions and NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) before flying.
Such a case also came to light in March
A few months before this incident, in March also, a civilian aircraft had entered the restricted airspace above Trump’s residence in Florida. At that time also, the plane was taken out by taking similar military action.
NORAD has reiterated that violation of the no-fly zone created during the presence of the President is not only serious from the security point of view, but it can also lead to legal action.
