Patna: After the murder of big businessman Gopal Khemka in Patna, the law and order situation in Bihar has come under question. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged in a post shared on social media that the coalition government of Nitish Kumar and BJP has made Bihar the crime capital of India. Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav had targeted the government over the murder of Gopal Khemka and accused Bihar of having jungle raj.

Rahul Gandhi wrote that ‘Today Bihar is living under the shadow of loot, bullets and murder. Crime has become the new normal here and the government has completely failed. Brothers and sisters of Bihar, this injustice cannot be tolerated anymore. The government that cannot protect your children cannot take responsibility for your future either.’ Rahul Gandhi said that now is the time for a new Bihar. He wrote that ‘Every murder, every loot, every bullet – is a cry for change. Now is the time for a new Bihar, where there is progress, not fear. This time the vote is not just to change the government, but to save Bihar.’
Big businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead by criminals late Friday night in Patna, the capital of Bihar. This incident took place in Gandhi Maidan police station area of Patna. Gopal Khemka was a well-known businessman of Patna. Gopal Khemka’s son Gunjan Khemka was also murdered six years ago in the Industrial Police Station area of Vaishali. There was a lot of uproar at that time too. The death of a big businessman openly in a posh area of Patna has raised questions on the law and order in the state. Especially at a time when assembly elections are to be held in Bihar soon, the murder of Gopal Khemka has given the opposition a big issue, with which they can surround the government.
Tejashwi Yadav called it Jungle Raj
Gopal Khemka had a great influence in the business class. The business class of Bihar is in shock due to his murder. Bihar politics has also heated up due to the murder of Gopal Khemka. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also attacked the state government in a post shared on social media. He wrote that ‘A big businessman of Bihar was shot dead in Patna, a few steps away from the police station. Every month hundreds of businessmen are being murdered in Bihar but can’t we call it jungle raj? Because this is what is called media management, perception management and image management in the scriptures.’
