How are Iran and Israel trying to harm each other not only by attacking each other directly on the ground but also by other means? How are both the countries carrying out their Psy-Ops i.e. psychological warfare? Who is ahead in this and what can be achieved?

It has been a week since the direct conflict between Israel and Iran began. Both countries continued to attack each other for the seventh consecutive day. While Israel talked about targeting Iran’s Arak nuclear facility on Thursday June 17, 2025 morning, Iran directly targeted major cities of Israel and damaged its stock exchange building. Apart from this, there are reports of a hospital being destroyed in Beersheba. There are no efforts from both sides to stop this conflict, on the contrary, a new war has emerged between the two sides away from the battlefield. This is psychological warfare, which both countries are using against each other.

In such a situation, it is important to know how Israel and Iran are trying to harm each other not only by attacking each other directly on the ground but also by other means? How are both countries carrying out their Psy-Ops i.e. psychological warfare? Who is ahead in this and what can be achieved?

On Wednesday June 18, 2025 , the broadcast of channels on television in Iran was suddenly tampered with. After that, people started seeing such content on TV, through which an attempt was made to incite people to protest against the rule of the Supreme Leader. According to reports, some old videos related to the women’s movements of 2022 were broadcast on Iranian channels, in which people can be seen protesting on the streets against the strict rules of the Iranian regime. These protests started after the death of Mhasa Amini, who became a victim of violence by the ‘morality police’ in Iran for not covering her head.

Iran’s Hamshahri newspaper also shared a video related to the incident of showing videos of the movement through hacking during TV broadcast on its Telegram channel. It said that hackers hacked Iran’s state TV and telecommunication and asked people to come out on the streets for the movement. After this hacking, when the control of Iranian television channels was regained, a message was broadcast to the viewers – “Satellite transmission was disrupted due to cyber attacks by Jewish enemies (Israel).”

Israel is using Iran’s internet for military operations
Meanwhile, Iran accused Israel of waging psychological warfare and accused it of using the internet available to the common people for military operations. Iran has also imposed restrictions on the use of internet by common people in the country. According to Netblocks, a UK-based group monitoring online activities, the Iranian government has implemented an internet blackout in almost the entire country.

Iran alleges that Israel has started using the internet as a weapon and continues to collect secret information through the mobile phones and devices of Iranian people that connect to the web. Iran has also blocked Meta’s WhatsApp and Instagram. Along with this, Google and Apple’s app stores have also been closed. Iran has appealed to people not to use WhatsApp at all, because through this important data is being sent from Iran to Israel. However, WhatsApp has completely rejected these allegations.
Iran’s financial institutions become target, internal tension may increase

A group of hackers associated with Israel has claimed that it has carried out cyber attacks on Iran’s government bank – ‘Bank Sepah’. The group has said that it hacked the bank and blew up its data. This group named ‘Gonjeshke Darande’ i.e. ‘Shikari Chidiya’ claims that it did this because the bank was giving funds to help the Iranian army. Due to the reason , the bank’s website remained closed for a long time. Even those who reached the banks could not withdraw money from their accounts. A cyber security expert said that such cyber attacks on banks can make Iranian people feel helpless during this conflict and their trust in banks can also be broken. This is also likely to have a direct impact on their trust in the government.

The same hacker group associated with Israel has also talked about carrying out cyber attacks on cryptocurrency exchange company- Nobitex on Wednesday June 18, 2025 . Gonjeshke Darande says that through Nobitex, the Iranian regime spreads extremism all over the world. This cryptocurrency exchange was an important weapon of the Iranian regime in the event of sanctions. This hacker group claimed that it has seized millions of dollars of the crypto exchange.

How is psychological warfare being waged against Israel?

Meanwhile, it is being claimed that Iran is threatening several political figures in Israel through phone calls. According to a report by Israel’s Channel 12, some leaders have complained that they were threatened over the phone in Hebrew (Israeli language), which said that Iran will destroy the whole of Israel with missile attacks.

The people who received calls related to this include Religious Zionist Party Director General Yehuda Vald and Yesh Atid leader MK Shelly Tal Meron. The shocking thing is that these calls clearly stated that the call was made from Iran and the conflict will not stop until Israel is completely destroyed.
