Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday June 8, 2025 said that training sessions like ‘Chintan Shivir 2.0’ provides a new perspective to the governance and an opportunity to strengthen the policymaking process. He said that such events provide an opportunity to the ministers to learn important tricks of good governance and transformational leadership.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and all the ministers of the state attended the first session of the two-day Chintan Shivir organised at IIM Raipur. In this session, topics like ‘transformational leadership’, ‘visionary governance’, ‘culture’, ‘good governance’ and ‘nation building’ were discussed in depth.
In his lecture on ‘Transformational Leadership and Visionary Governance’, Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, highlighted selfless work and ethical administration through the verses of Bhagavad Gita. He said that work should be done not just with the hope of results but because it is right.
Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, former President of Indian Council of Cultural Relations, while sharing his views on the topic ‘Culture, Good Governance and Nation Building’, said, “India’s unity is not only geographical but also cultural and spiritual. Nation building is possible not only with policies or resources but with cultural consciousness and moral values.” Emphasising the importance of Antyodaya, he said that the welfare of the last person of the society is the priority of good governance.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that events like Chintan Shivir give new direction and energy to the governance. He described the views of both the expert speakers as very inspiring and useful for policy-making.
On the occasion, Secretary to Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Special Secretary of Good Governance and Convergence Department Rajat Bansal, Director of Indian Institute of Management Raipur Ram Kakani and all the ministers were present.
