Punjab has thus defended the lowest score in IPL history. While chasing the target, KKR’s position was not good at any time and it lost wickets in the very first over. However, captain Ajinkya Rahane shared a 55-run partnership for the third wicket with Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who came in as an impact player, but as soon as this partnership broke, KKR’s innings fell apart like a pack of cards. In the end, Andre Russell definitely tried to lead the team to victory by playing some big shots, but he was not successful in his attempt due to continuous fall of wickets from the other end.

Raghuvanshi scored the highest 37 runs for KKR, while Rahane scored 17 and Russell scored 17 runs. Apart from these three batsmen, no batsman of KKR could reach double digits, while three of its batsmen could not even open their account. Chahal performed brilliantly for Punjab. He had not been able to perform anything special so far this season, but in this match he performed strongly. Chahal has taken four or more wickets in a match eight times in the IPL and he has equaled Sunil Narine in this matter.
