KKR defeated CSK by eight wickets on the basis of Sunil Narine’s all-round performance. KKR won the toss and decided to bowl first and the brilliant performance of the bowlers led by Narine restricted CSK to 103 for nine in 20 overs. In response, Narine also performed brilliantly with the bat and scored 44 runs with the help of two fours and five sixes in 18 balls, with the help of which KKR won by scoring 107 for two in 10.1 overs. Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmed got one wicket each for CSK.

Quinton de Kock and Narine gave KKR a good start to chase the target and both the batsmen added 46 runs in 25 balls.
