Thanks to Priyansh Arya’s century and Shashank Singh’s half-century, Punjab Kings have set a target of 220 runs in front of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Punjab, who won the toss and came out to bat first, scored 219 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Khaleel Ahmed and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each for CSK. At the same time, Mukesh Chaudhary got a breakthrough.
Punjab got off to a bad start in this match. Prabhsimran Singh was out without opening the account. The bat roared fiercely against CSK

During this, Priyansh proved his ability by scoring a century in 39 balls. With this, he has become the joint fourth batsman to score the fastest century in IPL history. In this matter, Priyansh has equaled Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Australian batsman Travis Head, who scored a century in the same number of balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last season. This is Priyansh’s first century in IPL. He was out after playing an innings of 103 runs in 42 balls. He was caught out by Noor Ahmed at the hands of Vijay Shankar.

Eighth uncapped batsman to score a century
Priyansh is the eighth uncapped batsman to score a century in the IPL. He has joined the list of batsmen like Shaun Marsh, Yashasvi Jaiswal in this matter. Uncapped players who have scored centuries in the IPL include Shaun Marsh (2008), Manish Pandey (2009), Paul Valthaty (2009), Devdutt Padikkal (2021), Rajat Patidar (2022), Yashasvi Jaiswal (2022), Prabhsimran Singh (2023) and Priyansh Arya (2025).

After Priyansh, Shashank was joined by Marco Jansen. Both of them played a strong partnership of 65 runs in 38 balls for the sixth wicket and took the score beyond 210. Shashank remained unbeaten on 52 and Jansen on 34.
